The german “Goldschmiede Zeitung” (magazin for jewellery and clocks) just published an overview of the creative scene in Pforzheim. DUMBO & GERALD is part of it – and they also briefly presented the local BlackPort Design Kollektiv, which was co-founded by our team members. Read the article! (PDF)
head roulette or brain mix?
Mööönsch, bei der vielen Arbeit zurzeit wissen wir gar nicht mehr wo uns der Kopf steht!!! (An dieser Stelle ein kleiner Dank an Janusch Tschech für die neuen Team- und Portraitfotos!)
Hier mal ein kleiner Auszug aus unserem Alltag:
• Gestaltung und Konzeption eines Studentenmagazins (mehr wird erst einmal noch nicht verraten)
• Illustrationskonzept für die nächste agora42 (erscheint Ende April!!!)
• Layouts für eine ziemlich coole Kinder-Trickfilmserie, die von einem ziemlich coolen Stuttgarter Trickfilmstudio produziert wird (lecker…Erdbeermarmelade!)
• Design und Konzeption einer Männer-Kollektion (rock it baby!!!)
• Design und Umsetzung individueller Hochzeitskleidchen für SIE & SIE
• Planung von kulturellen Events zusammen mit dem BlackPort Design Kollektiv (schon einmal vormerken: 17.4. Kulturnacht in Pforzheim – Rathauspavillon!!! www.who-the-f-is-pforze.de –> macht mit!)
Zum Glück unterstützt uns seit März auch noch unsere Super-Praktikantin Marianka, die aber leider während des Shootings krank war und deshalb nicht auf unserem Bildchen zu sehen ist.
Wow! So much to do right now…we’re risking to lose our heads! (at this point we would like to thank Janusch Tschech for our new team and portait photos!)
Here a short insight in our daily work:
• design and conception of a student magazin (stay excited…we won’t tell more at the moment!)
• visual concept for the next agora42 (which will be available end of april!)
• layouts for a rather cool animated series for children, produced by a rather cool animation studio from Stuttgart (hm…strawberry jam!)
• design and concept for a men’s fashion collection (rock it baby!!!)
• design and construction of individual wedding gowns for SHE & SHE
• planning of cultural events together with the BlackPort Design Collective (mark it down: April 17th – “Kulturnacht” in Pforzheim – location: “Rathauspavillon” – be part of it: www.who-the-f-is-pforze.de)
We are happy that Marianka, our super-trainee, is supporting our team since march…unfortunately she was ill when doing the photo shoot, that’s why she’s not on the picture above…

Als neues Team-Mitglied unterstützt uns ab dem 1. März Janina Stemmler im Bereich Visual Communication. Wir freuen uns sehr über diese Bereicherung und begrüßen sie hiermit herzlich und super offiziell in unserem Team!
Als diplomierte Grafikdesignerin enspringt Janina ebenfalls dem Pforzheimer Kreativ-Pool und bringt dabei jede Menge konzeptionelle Stärke, Power und Motivation mit. Halleluja :)
We are very happy to welcome Janina Stemmler as our new team meber. She will support our visual communication “division” from 1st March on. Janina is also a Pforzheim Design graduate and brings in lots of conceptional knowledge, power and motivation. We are very glad to have her here – hallelujah! :)
Online Shop Opening + Special Valentine’s Day Offer!
Heute gibt es gleich zwei Neuigkeiten:
1. Unser Shirt-Shop in Kooperation mit spreadshirt ist ab jetzt online – unsere ersten Prints zum Thema “1789″ sind Piktogramm-Motive aus der Französischen Revolution. Neben Marie-Antoinette und Ludwig XVI tummeln sich noch allerlei Bürger, Adlige und Heilige auf den Shirts. Weitere Printmotive (u.a. mit den Monstermodels…) folgen bald!
2. Valentinstag-Aktion: Unsere Valentins-Shirts kommen versandkostenfrei zu euch nach Hause wenn ihr sie bis zum 7. Februar bestellt! Wie wäre es mit einem königlichen Doppel?
Today we’ve got two news for you:
1. Our shirt shop (in cooperation with spreadshirt) is finally online with our first prints showing icons from the french revolution: Marie-Antoinette, Louis XVI, bloody revolutionists, noblemen and saints…more collections coming soon!

Willkommen/Welcome
Endlich ist es soweit: DUMBO & GERALD präsentiert sich in neuem Gewand und sagt “Hallo” aus dem neuen Büro in Pforzheim. Wir entschuldigen uns dafür, dass ihr solange auf ein Lebenszeichen warten musstest…aber in der letzten Zeit ist einiges passiert. Hier also ein kleines Update:
Finally it’s done: DUMBO & GERALD presents itself in a new design and says “hello” from the new studio in Pforzheim (Germany). We apologize that you had to wait so long … but a lot has happened during the last weeks. So here’s a little update:
